Believer’s Baptism

Baptism is intended for those who have professed faith in Jesus Christ and can give sufficient testimony to the basics of Christian beliefs. We baptize by immersion because it is not only the original significance of the Word, but also because it best symbolizes the reality to which baptism points— our death and resurrection in Christ. Although baptism as an infant may have been an important spiritual step for a family, membership at First Baptist requires baptism by immersion (either at the church or from a previous church by immersion).

We celebrate baptisms on Sunday mornings during our 8:00 am or 10:30 am services or occasionally at the river during the late summer. If you are interested in Baptism, please fill out the connect card to speak with a pastor:
