Childcare and KidCheck

We offer special programming for children, from newborn up to sixth grade during our Sunday School hour.  We also offer nursery for the 10:30am service. If you are dropping your children off before the service, give yourself a few extra minutes to get them checked in using our easy computerized check-in system called KidCheck.

We take your kids' safety very seriously by doing full background checks on every single person serving at First Baptist.

For simplifying your Sunday morning experience, we recommend registering your children with KidCheck ahead of time and downloading the app.

Worship Services

Our time of worship, together as the gathered church (people), revolves around the person of Jesus Christ. While we are not limited to a particular space as the church, we gather together every Sunday morning in the sanctuary for congregational worship and praise of the Lord Jesus. We worship God through congregational singing led by a team of musicians, followed by corporate prayer, and the reading and preaching of God’s Word. We encourage you to join us for worship at 8:00 or 10:30 on Sunday morning.

Worship Style

Danville First Baptist is blessed with a gifted team of musicians and vocalists who lead us in heartfelt worship each week. Our style is primarily contemporary, blending today’s worship songs with timeless hymns—often in fresh arrangements that bring new life to these classics. Every song is chosen to point us to Christ, and the depth and excellence of our worship is a defining part of our Sunday gatherings.

Teaching

At Danville First Baptist, our teaching is centered on the deep truths of God’s Word, explained in a way that’s clear, relatable, and relevant for life today. Most often, we teach through the Bible verse-by-verse, helping you see how each passage connects to the bigger picture of God’s story and your own walk with Him. Sermons typically last about 35 minutes. You can explore past messages by clicking the link below.
