Mission and Values

Our Story

First Baptist Church of Danville was founded in 1842 and has a long history of faithful ministry in the community. Over the years, the church has grown through multiple building projects, including a move to its current 18-acre campus in Valley Township in 1979. With a strong emphasis on worship, missions, youth, and Bible teaching, First Baptist has been actively serving the Lord both locally and globally. Today, we continue to build on our rich heritage with a heart for reaching people and making disciples.

VCN Mid-Atlantic is a diverse fellowship of churches united by Biblical mission, and our diversity is ethnic and geographical. We are one of eight regions in a covenant relationship with Venture Church Network, a national association which also includes VCN Chaplaincy and CBGlobal (an international fellowship of church associations around the world).
