Our personalized commitment to missions is encouraged by the following:

We provide multiple opportunities each year for individuals or groups to participate in short-term, hands-on mission trips in the US and abroad.

Several of the missionary units we support are “home grown” from our First Baptist family.

Praying for our missionaries and inviting them to share at First Baptist firsthand how Lord is using them in the mission field.

HONDURAS

From 2010-2018, we had adopted an area in Haiti and were able to go on 13 short-term missions’ trips. But, due to the increase in political unrest, crime and violence, it was no longer safe to travel there. We wanted to find another place.

Consulting with one of our mission organizations, Missions Door, we were able to take an exploratory trip to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, in 2024 and met with Pastor Arnold and his wife, Julia. They had been waiting 18 years for a mission’s team to come to their area. We knew immediately this is where God was calling us to minister next. Plans are to travel there every year at the beginning of January.

Trips typically consist of medical, construction, VBS, men’s ministry and women’s ministry components.

Our next trip will be January 2-9, 2027.
